“You can never understand one language until you understand at least two.” Geoffrey Willans
Trying to learn a new language is always difficult and you can easily lose a motivation, but just to remind you, learning a foreign language is totally worth the effort. Being bilingual expands your opportunities in life, keeps your brain fit and broadens your perspective. It even gives you a special insight into your own mother tongue and the culture you take for granted.
Coming to Rome was little bit stressful, you could probably imagine… traffic, people, crowded metro, get lost for the 1st time and for the 2nd time as well, but everything changed when I first came to Accademia Studioitalia.
“I am so excited about the first lesson, but still a bit worried how it will look like…”
Lesson consists of a lot of dialogs, new words, audios, useful phrases and my groupmates are from all over the world. The class is divided in two parts, each part is conducted by different teacher, so you have an opportunity to discover different accents or different ways of pronunciation. Teachers speak only Italian, they try to explain new word with words you have already learnt but not to translate in English. They prefer to show the meaning of work with pantomime, movement, which is easily going straight to your head.
“Italian language doesn’t seem so hard to start speak”
So don’t give up! Every new word is a milestone on your journey to mastering another language because… “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” Nelson Mandela
